Best local eatery! Local charm, gifts, both regional and hand crafted. Pennsylvania Dutch Food and regular selections. Bakery, diner, dining room. Popular with travelers on Pocono route and locals. Don't miss out on this gem!
Amazing food also got a great deal on cookbooks
If you are looking for comfort food, this is your place. Down home cooking made completely from scratch, and breakfast all day if you want! They also have three Tesla chargers in their parking lot if you need them.
I've driven past here thousands of times and finally stopped. It seemed like a nice place. Clean and organized. Waitresses were friendly and attentive. The booths were way too tight. I'm not a big guy at 190lbs, and i could barely fit in between the bench and table. The food was good, but took forever (and the place was nearly empty, busy was not an excuse) and was cold when it got there. This was a 1 star , maybe 2 star visit at best, but it may have been an off night. Gave the benefit of the doubt and went with 3. Would like to try again someday,
Always love eating at the Dutch Kitchen. Great service and delicious food !!!
Excellent food and prices, quality service. Place is two hours drive, but we eat there when traveling to Shenandoah pa.
We had such a nice lunch at this place. It really felt like I was eating at my dear old Grammy's house. Just there were other people there. The food was made from stretch and you could tell. I had the pot pie and my wife had breakfast, which is severed all day long. The only thing I have to say was bad was the shoo fly pie. If you don't what that is you need to just try it. Even though I just said it was bad. You might like it... Maybe? The place was so cute and we are so glad we stopped.
Real good food in nice home town restraunt highly recommend the sho fly pie they even sell whole pies.
The food was fantastic, especially for the price. There was a good feeling environment, but sadly I'm going to have to take stars off for the dirty environment. It was quite messy, but not horrible. I feel just a simple cleaning and wipdown could have fixed this. If you ignore the environment, the meal was fantastic.
First of all- it was great just to sit down in a restaurant again. The food was excellent. Friendly waitress. Their home baked bread was top notch. I could've eaten another couple slices. Pot pie was very meaty. One of my favs when I'm in the area.
Wasn't expecting much, when walking up to the place. But wow! It was great especially for the price. The 3 of us enjoyed our meal very much. Peach iced tea was great. Definitely warrants a return vist!
Restaurant's been there for decades and you can always count on consistency. Don't go in looking for a 5 star experience but if diner-style home cooking is your thing you'll be happy. Home-made, freshly baked bread is a plus.
Loved it. Was cool to see that it was a 50's diner look. Had breakfast this morning. Ordered 3 Buttermilk Pancakes and one huge sausage patty.
It was a nice stop off for breakfast. Great food, good prices, great people. A pleasant experience in a friendly environment.
Steak, mash and veg were on point!Went earlier in the day, was quiet and un rushed 🙏🏻🤙🏼👍🏻👏🏻
First time stopping in food was great service was great beautiful restaurant my only issue was the waitress brought over the salad dressing with her thumb in it .. not sure why the bowl wasn't on a plate to be brought over I didnt want to say anything because it was our first time there but it happened twice ..
Was able to have breakfast after going to Dr. To have blood test. It was 1pm. Had raisin French toast and potatoes work onions. My son had scrapple, eggs and potatoes. We both enjoyed the meal and we're able to sit outside under canopy was so enjoyable!
My whole family came and the service was great! Very nice employees and the price is great. The omelette was so good and my dad says it was “the best omelette he’s had in a long time!” Very tasty. It was my first time ever going and Ill goo again! The waitress was super sweet and she was very helpful.
Breakfast was really good outside dining due to covid 19 ...chilly...but food was good so that didnt matter
Food and service was outstanding. I had the seafood combination. Everything was delicious but the crab cake was perfection. I hope we pass through again. Will definitely dine here if we do.
Great service, good food, friendly prices and cool vintage atmosphere.
Fast service good food and friendly atmosphere in these times
Food was awesome. Tasted just like homemade.
Very polite, friendly and accommodating staff. Food is served hot, tasty and generous portion size. Facility is clean and decor is entertaining. A favorite stop for us because they consistently meet our expectations. This includes being handicapped accessable.
Local restuarant with homemade Dutch faire. This is definite a locals stop. We needed a break from the chain stores. They have a counter with jukebox, for a retro feel. The dining is casual. I would describe the food as a comfort meal. They have an adjacent area, so don't let the cramp entryway fool you. Save room for desert!
Great place to stop for breakfast. Pick from a traditional 60's style booth or a restaurant and table setting. Coffee is always hot and service was quick and efficient. Will stop by again when passing through.
The restaurant was like going back in time. Staff was good. Food was amazing. All home made. Fried chicken was perfect. Roast beef very good and fresh Turkey dinner was great. The most amazing bread. Hope to get back there soon
Very friendly place, food always good loving environment, always find some fresh home made jelly for the house ,and more.
Love the breakfast, I order what's called " The Jack's " it's two eggs , two strips of bacon, toast, and two pancakes, but I highly suggest ordering a side order of their Unique Home Fries with melted America Cheese and Onion.. it's Perfection .. Only improvement would be if they added some milk to fluff up the scrambled eggs. But overall best in the county. I know you are thinking, how can anyone mess up breakfast, well I've tried tons of places, and most stink... Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus and he eats his breakfast at The Dutch Kitchen...
They sang happy birthday to my now 17 year old son. They brought him a cookie with a candle in it. I have a video. Decorative items all over the place most are for sale. I'm going back here to eat and buy their recipe books for my daughter for Christmas. Everybody was sweet and nice, very attentive. I gave him an extra dollar on his tip. If you want good healthy food go to this place. The atmosphere is great. Great music on. It's better then top of the 80's and dennys.
3 stars for the food, 5 for the setting and decor. The appetizers were really good, the rest a little less impressive. Juke box plays music randomly!
Small, clean little diner. Food isn't pricey and staff was very quick to set us, grab drinks and order our food. Definitely a place to come back to.
I got the crab cake and they were delicious. Makes potatoes very yummy. Tried the sweet and sour cucumbers wow very nice and are waitress was very sweet
This is such a nice place to eat. Just like stepping back in time, this timeless diner always has delicious home cooking!
This is a great restaurant although the name is misleading. I am a netherlands native and the menu isnt that dutch at all. Most dishes are either american or french styled. Wheres my stamppot?Great service and food tho
Amazing food and a wonderful staff made for a wonderful meal.
Excellent food at affordable prices. Seafood combo was awesome! Attention to detail! excellent service! Will definitely come back!
Lots of seating available outside if you prefer due to Covid. Great meal and pleasant staff!
Delicious home cooked food. Friendly staff.
My oh my! I loved the pork steak I had, recommended to me by my friendly waitress. The atmosphere and theming were spot on. Very comfy little place with options for quick bites as well as hanging around and taking your time yo enjoy your meal with friends.
A tradition started many years ago,we always stop here when returning to our N.Y. roots, and on the way back to our Southern home.Great home style cooking,And warm reception from a hard working crew.
A great place to stop between Harrisburg and Scranton on Interstate 81. Amazing home cooking whether you get a sandwich or the full meal with sides. We have stopped here multiple times and it is always first rate either in the dinner side or the dinning room.
Eggs Benedict was delicious! Please support this restaurant!
Just what I wanted today and I also had their special. Our server was very friendly and came by enough times to check on our comfort without being too intrusive. The food was good and they were efficient in bringing it. The cashier was not as friendly according to my son who paid for the meal.
Great little diner. Jack's Choice is my main pick
Tasty country fried chicken platter and potato pancakes and cucumber slices were much enjoyed. Peach tea was sweet and favorable. 😊
I always stop here for breakfast in the diner on my way up to New England. I like the breakfast sandwiches. Pretty basic diner fare, no complaints here!
Decent food, friendly staff, looks like an old diner on one side and a modern restaurant on the other. Only problem I had was difficulty in getting in the door... no access for disabled that I could find
Food was delicious!!! I had the yuengling battered haddock with fries. Very tasty. No complaints from our party. Very pleasant experience.
Good service & good food, waffle & turkey hit the spot, coffee was fresh!
